The world of Sands of the Pharaoh

The cabinet is painted in lapis blue and sandstone gold, and the top sign carries the chapter title Secrets of the Nile. The music is a desert dance in the Hijaz mode: a kick and a darbuka drum lay down the doum-tek rhythm, a sistrum shakes, a qanun ripples underneath and a reedy double-reed pipe carries the tune. Spinning adds faster darbuka strokes and claps, and the free spins add strings and finger cymbals.

Egyptian slots are one of the oldest themes in the genre, and this one keeps the familiar cast: the hourglass stands for the sands of time, the eye watches from the middle of the grid, the scarab is the lucky charm, and the royal crown is the top symbol. The cobra Wild coils around whichever line it completes.

Wilds and the fixed jackpots

In Sands of the Pharaoh the Wild is a cobra. The line pays as the first regular symbol on it, reading from the left, and then: Wild substitutes for any regular symbol; each Wild on a winning line doubles it, up to ×4. Two cobras inside a run of crowns already make a strong line.

The fixed line pays are the crown-and-cobra lines. GRAND is a 6-long crown run with two or more cobras, MAJOR five crowns plus one cobra across six reels, MINOR a 5-long crown run with two or more cobras and MINI six crowns in a row with no cobras; GRAND pays 1,112× the line bet. The cabinet prints their current coin values; at the level-1 maximum of 1,000 coins they are 22,240, 11,120, 11,040 and 5,560 coins.

Because these are line pays, the amounts are part of the spin total you see, never a bonus on top, and nothing accumulates between spins.

The Scatter reel and the free-spin room

The three-window Scatter reel next to the grid is where the free-spin room is triggered. Three Scatters at once open the tomb: three sealed cases, shuffled before you choose, each holding a different number of free spins.

Sands of the Pharaoh free spins: Every Wild that lands stays in place until the feature ends. Three Scatters on the separate bonus reel award a vault of three sealed cases holding 6, 8 or 10 free spins. The cases are shuffled fairly before you choose. Any Wild that lands during free spins locks in place and stays a Wild for every remaining free spin. Free spins do not retrigger. Wild substitutes for any regular symbol; each Wild on a winning line doubles it, up to ×4. Max win: 5,000× your bet per paid spin, including its free spins. A round that reaches it ends there and pays the cap.

Sticky cobras are why this feature builds: early cobras keep working on every later spin, and the cabinet frames each one so you can count them. If your connection drops mid-feature, the state, including the held cobras, is stored server-side and you resume from the exact round you left.

How to play Sands of the Pharaoh

  1. Pick Sands of the Pharaoh in the lobby. It is unlocked from level 1 and shares the same wallet as every other machine.
  2. Choose a total bet from 50 to 1,000 coins (1,500 unlocks at level 3, 2,500 at level 5 and 5,000 at level 9). Each bet is spread equally over the 50 lines.
  3. Spin. Winning paths are drawn across the six reels and the win list shows which symbol and how many reels paid.
  4. Open the paytable to check the crown, camel and cobra rows; the line-pay panel shows every named tier at your current stake.
  5. Use Auto Play in short batches, and stop it any time; it also pauses by itself when the bonus triggers or coins run short.

Tips for a good session

  • If you are new, play this machine and Golden Tiger at the same bet for a few spins each. Both are balanced, but their free spins work differently: held Wilds here, a fixed multiplier there.
  • The cobra Wild stands out best on the blue background; look along the five horizontal-ish lines first, they are the easiest to read.
  • Keep bets at a level where ten spins in a row without a win would not bother you. Free coins arrive daily, so the bank refills.
  • Set a session length before you start (a timer on your phone works). Stop when it ends, win or lose.
  • Nothing here can be bought, won or withdrawn for money. If you ever feel pressure to keep going, close the tab and read our responsible-play page.

Sands of the Pharaoh FAQ

Which is the top symbol in Sands of the Pharaoh?

The royal crown. Six crowns across one line pay 278× the line bet, and cobra Wilds inside that run multiply it.

What are sticky Wilds?

During free spins, any cobra that lands locks into its cell and stays a Wild for every remaining free spin. They are drawn by the server like every other cell and shown with a frame on the reels.

Is the cobra Wild also the Scatter?

No. The Scatter lives on a separate three-window reel beside the grid. The cobra only appears on the main six reels.
